Journey through the artistic life of Jaqui Almaguer as she talks about her inspirations of the bold imagery, brightcolors and playfulness of her Mexican culture while exploring themes surrounding migration, intersecting, indigenous and spiritual identities to define her own. Each participant will receive a template created by Jaqui to follow along her journey.

Latin Dance: Movement & Mindfulness
Join Maria Luisa in this on2 salsa shines class for all levels! Improvisation will be explored and encouraged with a "jam session" format mixed with a choreographed sequence focusing on footwork, body movement, and tuning into your own unique style. This class will incorporate mindfulness to foster the mind-body connection and nurture a sense of freedom and expression on (and off) the dance floor.

Yatra of Indian Drums & Rhythms
Kalyan Pathak, versatile world percussion master, a linguist of rhythms, will take you on a rich, colorful & interactiverhythmic journey of Indian drums such as Dhol, Naggara, Chanda, Tabla, Duff, Manjeera and many more hand andstick percussion while demonstrating infectious Tala grooves to joyful dance beats in many different songs and musicstyles.

Afro - Cuban Dance
The class begins with a traditional warm-up that emphasizes the large movements in the shoulder and torso that lead to the Orisha's basic step, which would be dancing and progressively advancing across the floor with step repetitions and ending with a circle where dancers can improvise.

Jazz Improvisation Workshop
A living breathing form of African-American art rooted in the blues and ragtime, Jazz continues to evolve and reinventitself through improvisation. In this immersive workshop, the Victor Garcia Trio will demonstrate and speak to the important elements needed to create a music that flows through the selfless collaboration of musical ideas between individuals.

Hip Hop & West African Dance!
In this class, you’ll dance to polyrhythmic music and learn a variety of movements. Early Hip Hop dance styles are descended from African dance movements. Using a mixture of Hip Hop styles including pop, lock, and breaking we will learn about the dynamics of movement similar to West African dance. We will also focus on freestyle as an integral element in both genres.
